Food For My Ears

For, on the one hand, there is a setting aside of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness(for the Law made nothing perfect), and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. Hebrews 7:18-19 (boldness mine)
I’ve just had the unique joy of hearing Graham Kerr on Focus on the Family this morning. It usually doesn’t occur to me to flip the program on when I am washing breakfast dishes, but for some reason, I did today, and it was just what I needed to hear. I’m going to spend time looking into what he was saying about healthy eating and get back to you. There are so many opinions out there about the best ways to eat and keep a healthy weight, that I don’t want to jump in with this guy and say he has all the answers. But what he had to say on the program was very inspiring. Living a healthy lifestyle is part of the “better hope” (from the verses above) that we can have, thanks to the work of Jesus on the cross, setting aside that old standard of death and failure. I loved hearing Graham’s testimony of how his wife, then he met Jesus. Listen to the FOF broadcast here.
