Island Wannabe

No man is an Island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee. ~John Donne

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:4-6

  1. GREAT post! Don’t you just love how our kids are such little mirrors? Perfect for letting God get those rough edges rubbed off of us. 🙂

Can’t say as I have any words of wisdom here. Silent treatment? I seriously can’t even the time or two I’ve tried. Funny, isn’t it how the old sinful nature pops up in each person so differently. We all have it, though. Rest assured. I’ll be praying with you for wisdom for you two as you parent in this area. (Don’t you love the grammar in that sentence? But you get my drift.)
